Thanks for this submission. It will be scheduled for our next standards council telecon, for initial standards council review. After that, to 60-day public comment.

Jeroen, the document is dated September 2012 -- just checking if this is the right (i.e. latest) version, please let us know...
Thanks, Andre.

Sorry, I forgot to update the date. Attached is a new version which only changes the date on the document.
Note, I've also set the date on the NML Schema URL to "nml/2013/03/base". We can change that to the right date after approval.

Hello all, what is the holdup with the document?
I was hoping to have this in public comments as soon as possible...

This is headed for public comment. Andre, please create the tracker, and let me know so I can announce it. Thanks, and sorry for the delay.

We've gone through at least 6 weeks of public comments now. I've received some private comments from Richard, are there any other comments that we need to address before this can be published?

- Status changed from public comment to author action
Yes, public comment just ended. Please go ahead and address any comments (including in an updated document if desired); post here when you're ready for final review prior to publication. Thanks,
- Greg

Do you have a number assigned yet? Then I can change that in the document also.
Updated by Greg Newby over 9 years ago
This will be GFD-R-P.202. Please upload the final version, plus the input/source (i.e., as a .zip or similar). We'll then submit for standards council final review. Thanks! Greg

Richard will check whether the (lack of) public comments requires additional effort. Has there been sufficient community engagement with this document? The standards council will receive information and then discuss this document at the next standards council telecon.

I just realised that 202 is the number for the urn:ogf:network namespace document, so it can't be the number also for this document, right?
Updated by Greg Newby over 9 years ago
Sorry about that! The word "network" occurs in both documents, which might have thrown me off. Let's have this as GFD-R-P.206.

- File nml-base.pdf added
Here is the latest updated version where we have incorporated comments from Richard, made some corrections that we spotted, and improved the example section. A more detailed description of the changes is in the attached text file.
The number has also been added.
We can make the source of the document available also, but it is a large number of files in the git repository of NML.

My apologies, I spotted a small typo, this has been fixed now.

And just as I submitted this, someone spotted another typo. I promise this is really the final version.

And then someone else spotted another minor typo in the examples. It is minor, but an important correction. So I'm submitting this one with just one letter change in both examples. This is the actual definite final version (really!).

I think we should wait just a liiiiitle longer and see what the next typo will be...
Just kidding
I think we need to hear back from Richard as noted above. The next GFSG call is scheduled next week, IIRC, so we'll likely move the document forward then.
Thanks, Andre.

Okay, the GFSG meets this Monday, thanks!
(I totally covertly uploaded another version because we spotted a few typos. But you didn't see me do it!)

Thanks for this. Per the standards telecon June 17, this is now approved for publication as GFD-R-P.206. It looks like the header is already correct, so Andre will publish, and I will announce.
Meanwhile, would you please also upload the final source files to this tracker?
Thanks, and congratulations on this published document.

Thank you!
As I mentioned before, there are many source files, so I don't know what the best way would be to preserve them. They are all in a Redmin git repository though, so perhaps we can tag the current revision or something?
Updated by Redmine Admin over 9 years ago
If they are in OGF's git, then I guess a tag is fine. Otherwise, a tarball would also work (we did that in the past). Either way, please point us to it, so that we can make sure that we can build a PDF if needed...
Thanks, Andre.

The repository is here, the main file is nml-base.tex, which automatically includes other files for sections, examples and schemas:
