TODO AM: publish schema before public review
Updated by Redmine Admin over 7 years ago
quickest initial review ever: this can go to public comment as soon as the schema is published.

The schema is comprised of a set of files as seen here:
https://github.com/OGF-GLUE/JSON/tree/master/schema
The file names matter, so we can't concatenate them into a single file and produce anything useful. Note that we've included them in the Appendix of the rendering description draft.
Could we simply publish the github schema URL, or would you like all the individual files or a tar?
Thanks,
JP

Dear JP,
It looks like we await action from Andre prior to public comment. We have usually put schemata at http://schemas.ogf.org/, as individual files. If this schema might change as a result of public comment on the GLUE doc , you might want to name it so users will know that.

The schema has been published under http://schemas.ogf.org/glue/2014/11/spec_2.0_r1/

The public comment tracker has been created, and can be announced. We should probably include the schema URL in the announcement? PC period will finish June 25th.

JP: re publication URL: I cloned the master branch of your github repo, and directly published the files from there. Is that the right thing to do, in your opinion?

This is a good way of doing it. Thanks!

Thanks,

Greg.
What are the final changes we need to make to this document before we submit it for GFSG final review, besides:
- What will the new GFD document name be?
- Category: Change from "Recommendation" to what value?
- Accept any tracked changes and make minor spelling corrections
- Set document date to what?
- Reference published schema at http://schemas.ogf.org/glue/2014/11/spec_2.0_r1/
Thanks,
JP

Alan, would you please replace GFD.219.pdf with this new file, on the OGF.org back end?
Per the standards council meeting a few weeks ago, I made two changes to the .doc and made the new pdf:
1. Updated the header to show the publication date (also a minor tweak to "GFD-R-P.226" from "GFD-RP.226")
2. Updated "Status of this document" to be descriptive of the published document.
Authors/editors: Please mention if this is deemed problematic. I thought they were innocuous fixes, but we can adjust further if they are not deemed desirable as-is.
