Throughout the spec, make prose work like this:
not
dfdl:nilKind="logicalValue"
instead say
dfdl:nilKind 'logicalValue'
or
when dfdl:nilKind is 'logicalValue'
or
dfdl:nilKind of 'logicalValue'
as appropriate
