ID | Owner | Summary | Discussion |
---|---|---|---|
2 |
Merge latest JSIM schema into JSIM document | Wait a couple of weeks for schema to settle down |
4 |
Job needs RecurringElapsedTime | Andrea will submit a CR to DMTF |
5 |
JobScheduleSettingData not Scoped | Andrea will submit a CR to DMTF |
6 |
Address meaning of Priority | Andrea will send a proposal and questions to the list |
7 |
BatchJobGroup - Need a use case | Group jobs for execution coordination, dependency, (don't overload scheduler?). The latter is questionable. Reassign this issue to Andrea. |
8 |
Need job completion statistics | For example, this job failed the last 3 times it was run (for a recurring job). What statistics does PBS, LL, LSF keep? The CIM class we develop will be a mirror of what is held in the scheduler, e.g. a view into say, a log file. If the scheduler cleans its log, the CIM data would reflect that automatically because the provider would be deriving the data from the log. Reassign this issue to Ellen. |
9 |
Resolve DeleteOnCompletion with OGSA lifecycle | Link DeleteOnCompletion to job completion code? There is also the wider issue of representing TTL data within CIM. Andrea should make a proposal to the list. |
10 |
BatchService issues | Viktor suggested that batch service and queues are similar to print service and queues. Andrea said that printing is usually by location, but perhaps also by capability of printer. |
11 |
Examine brokering use case | A human user might inspect the state of several batch systems to decide where to run her jobs. A broker would perhaps do that work, and the user would submit to the broker. What does the broker need to know from the JSIM to make good decisions? |
12 |
Resolve statuses | Ellen will make a proposal to the list. |
Ran out of time; Discuss remaining issues next time. | |||
13 |
Do we need more job information/detail? | |
14 |
Heidi Neumann's proposed class/association additions (OpenPBS) | |
15 |
BatchJob class to provide description of the task |
